new pan. Even a whole new pan shouldn't cost near that much. Take a look and see what a oil pan costs for a Chevy which holds 6 quarts -- $60 . Yes, domestic parts always cost less. But this isn't made in Japan. The material costs should no where be near that much to weld a piece of box sheet metal to the existing pan.
Seriously, I am not the only one here who got sticker shock when i saw the price. We are so use to paying high prices for VG30DETT parts that it doesn't shock some people.
